Patience Andy Ragga, Eesah, Stick Figure

I planted seeds in the morning, watered them with hope
But the ground was slow to answer, and I couldn't cope
I was pulling at the roots before they had a chance
Trying to force the harvest with a hurried glance
Then an old man told me, Son, you gotta understand
The tallest tree in the valley grew from a patient hand

Patience is a riddim, let it play
Everything will come to you in its own sweet way
Don't you rush the river, don't you chase the tide
Jah will guide the current, you just gotta ride
Slow down, breathe easy, let your spirit rest
The timing of the universe knows what's best

I used to fight the seasons, curse the falling rain
I wanted only sunshine, I couldn't stand the pain
But the storm that I resisted made my roots grow deep
And the lessons that I waited for were worth the sleep
Now I walk with steady footsteps, trusting every turn
'Cause the fire that I was rushing was a fire I had to earn

Patience is a riddim, let it play
Everything will come to you in its own sweet way
Don't you rush the river, don't you chase the tide
Jah will guide the current, you just gotta ride
Slow down, breathe easy, let your spirit rest
The timing of the universe knows what's best
